Helping Others

‘Bear one another’s burdens’

Your giving matters now, more than ever!

This is a tough time for our community. Many are struggling to access basic food and necessities. Agencies are finding it difficult to keep up with demand. Those dealing with chronic illness, domestic violence, and homelessness are even worse off than usual. As the economic impact of the pandemic takes hold, demands are only likely to rise.

What Can We Do?

During these difficult times, it is critical that we continue to support those who need our help most. It is hard to function when hope falls away, and now more than ever, people need our support.

Our Pantry Appeal

We are gathering non-perishable food and toiletries – canned vegetables, rice, pasta, sauces, kids snacks, toilet paper, toothpaste, and the like – to help those struggling in our city and community. Donations to the Pantry Appeal will be distributed through our partner agencies – Camcare, Mission House, The Lazarus Centre and St Jack’s in Malvern – and will go some way to restocking their shelves for the months ahead.

Can I Donate Funds Instead?

If you can’t give food, you can still help. Cash donations will be used to support those struggling to make ends meet during these difficult times and to help with emergency relief. The more generous you are the more people we can help!

Everything we do at St. John’s is made possible by your giving. Every gift, large or small, will help make a difference.

Thank You.
